Adam Buxton’s irreverent music video show BUG started life as a series of bi-monthly presentations at the BFI Southbank in London.
These celebrations of global creativity in music video soon became a regular sell-out event and now Adam (pictured) has devised a new show comprising some of his favourite videos from the recent BFI shows.
He will be presenting the re-vamped BUG as part of this year’s Bradford Film Festival this spring. The BFI show clips will be shown along previously unseen nuggets, to “delightfully unbalanced” commentary from YouTube commentators, and Adam’s irreverent brand of sit-down comedy.
“I tell people that BUG is like going round to a friend’s house and having him open up his laptop and show you interesting and amusing things he’s found or made – except not as tedious as that sounds!” says Adam.
Best known as one half of comedy duo Adam and Joe, he is a comedian, writer, broadcaster, video director, music video enthusiast and “YouTube comment wrangler”. He has appeared in films such as Hot Fuzz, Stardust and Son Of Rambow.
Adam Buxton will present BUG at the National Media Museum on Thursday, April 18. For tickets, ring 0844 8563797.
