A 21-year-old man has been jailed for four months for his part in fighting in Bingley town centre at 3am on August 11 last year.
Simon McCarten, of West Lane, Baildon, pleaded guilty to affray.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday he was at the time subject to a community order for headbutting a man outside Leeds Railway Station.
Prosecutor Duncan Ritchie said trouble started outside Berlins nightclub and CCTV cameras showed McCarten throwing punches and kicking a man on the ground.
McCarten’s lawyer, Nigel Jamieson, said he was chastened by his court appearance and had changed his lifestyle. He played football at the weekend, instead of going out drinking, and he was in work.
Judge Peter Benson said McCarten was “spoiling for a fight” and took an active part in the violence.
