Burglars used cutting equipment to chop through the roof of a Bradford cricket club and steal cash and booze from a safe, police said yesterday.
Thieves struck at East Bierley Cricket Club, in South View Road, at about 11.55pm on Sunday.
Police said the burglars had climbed onto the flat wooden roof above the cellar and used cutting equipment to chop a hole in it.
They then climbed inside and used metal cutting equipment to cut open the back of two large metal safes.
The burglars took cash and bottles of spirits before making off unseen.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
