Pupils at a Baildon school are set to give an Incommunities’ sheltered housing scheme a splash of colour this spring.
Children from Glenaire Primary School have created eight wooden planters and donated them to residents at Green Bank Court. Each planter was brightly painted and then filled with pansies and primulas.
Rosie Bavinton, from Glenaire Primary School, said: “This engagement project aims to encourage our pupils to contribute to brightening up the local community and helping other residents.”
Harry Whittle, director of Incommunities – estate and support services, said: “The school visit proved very rewarding in bringing different generations together and as a caring community focused housing group we are keen to encourage such positive initiatives.”
