A lifelong Bradford City fan has organised the donation of three pairs of the best tickets at Wembley for Sunday’s sell-out Capital One Cup final to raise money for the Bradford Burns Unit.
Steve Jordan, a partner with BTG Asset Consulting in Leeds, secured the donation from Begbies Traynor Group. All the proceeds from the sale of the VIP ‘Silver Club’ Wembley tickets for City’s clash against Swansea will go to the charity.
The former auctioneer is inviting sealed bids for each pair of tickets by e-mail before 6pm on Wednesday with the tickets going to the three highest bidders.
“It is going to be an amazing occasion and a lot of fans, including me, want to remember the 56 supporters who perished in the terrible Valley Parade fire 28 years ago,” he said. “This is a great opportunity to benefit the burns unit that was set up after the fire to help victims of serious burns.”
Bidders are required to provide their name, address and a contact number in order to confirm the offer on Wednesday, comply with Begbies Traynor’s terms and conditions and arrange payment before the tickets are handed over.
The tickets are in block 205 at Wembley. All bids are to be e-mailed to bradfordburns@begbies-traynor.com and bidders are requested to clearly state the price offered for either the package of all six tickets together, or a pair of tickets.
