A skate park project in Bingley hosted an open day to raise awareness of staying safe, especially during the winter months.
The event was held at the Bradford Council-run The Daily Grind SK8 Project for teenagers who enjoy skating or riding BMX bikes. Young people learned about the importance of staying safe when out and about, especially as the evenings are now darker.
They were also told about the dangers of not wearing the right equipment when skating and riding bikes. The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith and his wife Margaret, also attended the open day.
The Leonard Street facility is the only free indoor skate park in the district.
