Keighley is a bustling town, boasting a magnificent range of facilities and a rich cultural diversity.

At the heart of the town centre is the Airedale Shopping Centre, a covered mall with many well-known High Street names and a popular cafe.

It and the many independent retailers located in the town, plus the indoor market, help to make Keighley a favourite with shoppers from across the region.

A jewel in the town centre is the new £3.5 million bus station, providing state-of-the-art facilities for passengers. Keighley also has excellent rail links.

The town's reputation as a shopping centre is first class, but there is much more to Keighley than just retail therapy.
Sport and leisure enthusiasts are well catered for, with a modern swimming pool, gyms, health and sports clubs and excellent local walks, while for those who like a more leisurely pace the Leeds-Liverpool Canal is on the doorstep.

There is a host of pubs, clubs and restaurants – covering all types of cuisine – for those wanting to dine out or simply enjoy a drink.

Keighley and the surrounding area also has much to offer the tourist.

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway has operated steam trains since 1968. The five-mile line shot to fame in 1970 when it was used in the filming of the classic Railway Children movie, and since has featured in countless movies and TV programmes.

Other top attractions locally include East Riddlesden Hall, Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley Bus Museum and the Museum of Rail Travel, and just a few miles up the road is the Bronte Parsonage Museum at Haworth.
