Get creative:- Saltaire Rocks is hosting a Character Rock Hunt during the Easter half-term. As well as hunting hidden rocks, children can bring their own creations for an enjoyable game of hide and seek during the event which runs from 10am on Tuesday April 23 in Roberts Park, Saltaire. Burton Agnes Hall’s Easter event runs from April 6 until April 22. Young visitors can join the hunt for the giant golden egg hidden by the Easter Bunny amidst the magnificent grounds of this Grade 1 listed hall in Driffield built by Sir Henry Griffith in 1598. There will be Easter trails and craft activities too as well as vintage rides in the grounds of the hall from

Good Friday to Easter Monday.

Chocolate fans can join the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt at East Riddlesden Hall, near Keighley. Follow the Easter bunny’s clues around the garden and enjoy a chocolate treat. The Easter Adventure comes to Stockeld Park, Wetherby, North Yorkshire, with a Giant Easter Egg Hunt, hatching chicks, Easter circus and The Songbugs Easter show. Runs from March 30 to April 28. Ripon Racecourse, Boroughbridge Road, Ripon, is hosting an Easter Family Day on Thursday April 18. Activities include fun and games for the racecourse’s young visitors as well as free chocolate. Thornton Hall Country Park, Thornton-in-Craven, Skipton, promises plenty of Easter-themed fun from Superhero and Princess parties to egg hunts, pony rides, Lamb Feeding and farm fun. The Great Yorkshire Show Spectacular with aerial performances and circus workshops runs on Good Friday (April 19). On Easter Sunday young visitors can take part in the Easter family fun day and

join in the Easter egg hunt with the Easter rabbit. Special guests, The Rapide Brothers will be clowning around on Wednesday April 10 and April 24 and visitors can learn about bees during The Bee Centre’s visit on Thursday April 11, April 18 and 25. RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Crag Lane, Harrogate is hosting a range of Easter-themed activities with The Rhyming Rabbit. Join in the Hop about Garden Trail from March 30 to April 29 and enjoy craft activities based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks in association with Macmillan Children’s Books. The Easter weekend (April 19 to 22) brings the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny. Seek out the Golden Carrot and you could be in with a chance of winning a giant Centenary Imperial Easter Egg from Betty’s worth almost £500. From April 13 to 29 young visitors can create a rhyme and hang it on the Rhyming Tree in the Learning Centre. There will be storytelling and poetry workshops with Garden Detectives too as well as Easter crafts, such as bunny mask making, and even a birds-of-prey demonstration. Visit the farm near Bath House between 11am and 3pm to see the rabbits, lambs, goats, ducklings and other inhabitants.

Thrillseekers can find their fun at Lightwater Valley Theme Park, Ripon, Open for the Easter holidays from Saturday April 6 until Sunday April 28, visitors can check out the new ‘Outer Space’ themed Magic Lights Puppet Show in the Show Barn; Meet Jester and Jasmine, the park’s lovable dino mascots and take part in the pirate themed treasure trial egg hunt around Skeleton Cove over the Easter weekend Friday April 19 to Monday April 22.
