AN EXHIBITION of new artwork by some of the north's finest artists opens in Brighouse on Saturday, September 23.

Entitled Northern Powerhouse, the exhibition highlights the quality of artists based in the North of England, and brings together more than 70 new paintings in contrasting styles from ten northern artists.

Halifax-based Paul Talbot-Greaves is the lead artist with a new selection of his hugely popular Pennine landscape series. Other artists include Stephen Todd, Adrienne French, Rachel Grant, Paula Dunn, Catherine McGrath, Francesca Roberts and Barbara Renton Wood. New to the gallery artists include Kezy Feaster and Sue Ford.

The free exhibition at the Harrison Lord Gallery will run for four weeks.

Steven Lord, gallery owner said: “I’ve chosen the name of the exhibition “Northern Powerhouse” to highlight the depth and quality of artists based in the North of England. Often London gets all the limelight but I firmly believe that the artists featured in this exhibition are some of the finest in the country and deserve to be celebrated.”
