COMEDY legend Tommy Cooper is the subject of a show coming to Skipton Little Theatre on Friday, October 5.

Just Like That! features a host of jokes, routines and sketches by the much-loved comedy magician with John Hewer giving a performance as the man himself.

John is renowned for capturing the Cooper style, from mumbled speech and loud laughter to the awkward giant body language, as he delivers nuances both obvious and subtle.

Hambledon Productions have drawn on Cooper’s original scripts and TV appearances including crowd-pleasing classics ‘spoon-jar’, the Educated Duck, the Hats Sketch and ‘bottle-glass’.

A spokesman said: “Tommy Cooper was a true comic genius. His impeccable timing, misfiring magic, trademark fez and quick-fire gags made him an international star.

“The show, fully supported by the Tommy Cooper Estate and Tommy’s daughter Vicky, has been wowing audiences for four years, including a 16-week residency at London’s Museum of Comedy.

“Hambledon Productions have been granted exclusive access to the Tommy Cooper archive, to compile the ultimate homage to Britain’s favourite comedian of all time.”

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
