SKIPTON: Skipton Players will perform the play Whipping It Up, a political comedy by Steve Thompson, at 7.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, September 29, at Skipton Little Theatre.

Comedy legend Tommy Cooper is the subject of a show coming to Skipton Little Theatre at 7.30pm on Friday, October 5.

Just Like That! features jokes, routines and sketches by the much-loved comedy magician with John Hewer giving a performance of the man himself.

History Wardrobe: V for Victory, a presentation about life on the home front in World War One, will be performed at 7pm tonight in Skipton Town Hall. Tickets cost £15 including a drink and nibbles.

Tangram Theatre will present a performance of 100 Different Words For Love, a tale of love, despair and friendship, at 7.30pm tomorrow in Skipton Town Hall. Tickets cost £12 for adults and £10 for under 18s.

The exhibitions Crafting Change: New Approaches to Sustainable Making, which explores how artists choose their materials and making methods to have less impact on the planet, and Dissolving Margins, a display of textile work that looks at historical events, human migration and coastal erosion, will be on display until Thursday, October 18, in Skipton Town Hall.

The town hall gallery is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

The exhibition Settling In, which explores man made structures in rural landscapes, will be on display until Saturday, September 29, at the Mill Bridge Gallery.

Hosted by Craven Arts, the exhibition by Hannah Chesterman combines blueprints with paintings and drawings.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will present a performance by Ken Wilson and Jim McFarland at 8.30pm on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street.

SETTLE: Crowd of 2 Theatre Company will present The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, an adaptation of the classic gothic tale, at 7.30pm tonight in Settle Victoria Hall.

A screening of National Theatre Live: King Lear will be held at 7pm on Thursday, September 27.

The Ultimate Legends of the 20th Century, a one man show by Paul Taylor, will be held at 8pm on Saturday, September 29. He will perform songs by Freddie Mercury, Robbie Williams, Michael Buble, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Elton John, Prince and George Michael.

Three exhibitions Knitted Settle, 1918: The Long Last Mile and Life and Tradition in the Yorkshire Dales - A Celebration, will be on display at The Folly until December 22.

Canada Calling, an exhibition by Canadian mixed media artist Carol Howard Donati, will be on display at the Gallery on the Green until Friday, November 9.

Edge of Sight, an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Margaret Uttley and David Knight, will be on display until Saturday, October 26, at Gavagan Art in Settle Town Hall.

AUSTWICK: The Ribblesdale Area Moving Picture Show (TRAMPS) will screen the film Darkest Hour, which stars Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill, at 7.30pm tomorrow in Austwick Parish Hall.

BARNOLDSWICK: Dave Speight will give a Masterclass in the Blues free concert on Monday at the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

Folk singer Sam Kelly and banjo player Jamie Francis will then perform on Wednesday and award-winning Belfast singer songwriter Kaz Hawkins with special guest Sam York will perform on Thursday, September 27.

BOLTON ABBEY: Ensemble Pro Victoria from Kings College Cambridge will perform a fundraising concert titled Past and Present at 7pm tomorrow at Bolton Abbey Priory Church.

The first half of the concert, ‘Past’, will include music by William Byrd and Thomas Tallis and the second half, ‘Present’, will feature music by Elgar and Grieg.

GLUSBURN: Glusburn Fallfest will be held from tomorrow to Sunday at the Glusburn Institute.

The event starts with a Schools Great Fallfest Sing Off at 9.45am tomorrow. The play, The Last Resort, will be staged at 7.30pm tomorrow and 2pm on Sunday.

A number of family activities will be held during the day on Saturday.

David Live!, a tribute act to David Bowie, will be the headline act for a concert at 7.30pm on Saturday. Local singer Callum Spencer will open the evening.

A beer and gin festival will run all weekend, with opening times from 5.30pm to 11pm tomorrow, 11.30am to 11.30pm on Saturday and noon to 5pm on Sunday.
