Situation and amenities

Hawes is England's highest market town set 850 feet above sea level. The town has many tourist attractions including the Wensleydale Creamery producing the famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, and set amidst breath-taking scenery it's no surprise Hawes is one of the honeypot tourist attractions of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Springbank House is well located in a quiet, slightly elevated position a short walk from the centre of Hawes. The town is well served with a range of shops, post offices, public houses, restaurants, banks, a primary school, church and medical centre. Secondary schools are at Leyburn, Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen with private schools at Sedbergh, Barnard Castle and Newton le Willows. Buses from Hawes connect to Sedbergh, Leyburn, Ripon, Leeds and York.

Double wooden doors open to the entrance porch with a half glazed period door opening to the hall. From the hall there is access to the guest's dining room, the owner's living area and the staircase leading the the first floor.
