As Bradford braces for the 'Beast from the East' to bite, many of our older readers may well be thinking - so what?
After all, snow and ice are nothing new in the Bradford district - especially those areas on higher ground - as this gallery of archive pictures from the 1950s to the 1970s shows.
Back in February 1968, for instance, men and machines worked through the night to clear roads across the district after a covering of 5 inches fell overnight - and people didn't make a fuss, they just got on with it.
So are we all just getting, to use that great Yorkshire word, nesh?
