BRADFORD buzzed this weekend as its historic city centre buildings and modern mirror pool were transformed into a kaleidoscope of colour as part of the Illuminate Bradford Festival.
Ivegate became a “river of light” during a music, dance and performance event organised through arts group, the Brick Box.
The group has recently moved into Ivegate and on Friday and Saturday evening held events from 6pm with light and water installations, live projections, drawing and poetry workshops, as well as dance performances and DJs.

There were live performances including ones by the Bradford Festival Choral Society.
Around Centenary Square Bradford Council organised Illuminate Bradford featured three days of spectacular outdoor entertainment including dancers, acrobats, multimedia shows, street performances and light installations which festooned the city centre buildings in bright colours through 3D projection specialists, Colour Project.
The festival followed last year’s successful Forest of Light installation in City Park.
