What did you do with your holiday snaps? Chances are they ended up tucked away in a photo album, maybe a couple of them are in frames on the mantlepiece or stuffed into your purse. If you're honest, they're probably still in the folder you picked them up in from the photoprocessing shop.

Well, here's a new way to display your favourite photos - on wall tiles in your home.

A new tile design service launched by Brighouse-based tile manufacturer the CP Group turns precious photographs into a bespoke look for any room. Why hide away those pictures of your child's first birthday party or that happy family reunion when you can have them on display as part of your fixtures and fittings?

The pioneering tile design service was launched last week at the Tile and Stone Outlet in Brighouse - the only store in Yorkshire offering the service. The one-stop shop offers contemporary and traditional designs in ceramic, glass and natural stone, along with tools and accessories.

The state-of-the-art digital print service transforms customers' favourite images and photographs into tiles and decorative panels. Zooming in on the trend for photographs to be emblazoned on fashion accessories, the CP Group is now tailoring the concept for cool kitchens and bathrooms. Personalised tiles can be made to any size and can even be created in a mosaic style.

"Whether it's capturing poignant holiday memories or immortalising the children, our cutting edge in-store service offers customers chance to create a truly personal design in just seven days, " says CP Group chief executive officer Richard Slingsby. "The CP Group is renowned for its design expertise and quality tiles. We're delighted to have the opportunity to take this experience directly out to the consumer through our Tile and Stone Outlet."

The trend for photographic images on tiles looks set to be the next big trend in interior design and has already caught the attention of companies like B&Q, Focus and Homebase, which the CP Group designs and supplies decorative ceramic tiles for.

The Brighouse company's new photographic collections, featuring chic and quirky images such as rubber ducks for bathrooms and red peppers, was launched in Focus and B&Q last year.

"If photos can be put on bags and purses, we thought, why not tiles?" says CP Group Product manager Jayne Adamson.

"We love the quirky images, they're eye-catching and create a really personal sense in the home. They certainly bring the fun back into design."

The Tile and Stone Outlet, on George Street, Brighouse, is an extension of the CP Group's headquarters and factory which employs around 200 staff.

"Our experienced team is on hand at all times to offer technical advice.

Customers are dealt directly with the manufacturer, " says Mr Slingsby.
