THIS summer’s key print will channel the tropics as garments with hibiscus flowers and palm leaves flood the high street. This tropical trend has stood the test of time and is a trustworthy and fashionable essential when jetting off on holiday.

Hibiscus prints can often be quite daunting in the fashion stakes but in spite of its bold, vibrant nature, this go to motif is very wearable. From surfer-style sports prints to a delicate pastel, there’s a floral for everyone. With retailers like Next, Debenhams and New Look offering a plethora of printed options, The Broadway, Bradford exclusively reveals its key summer looks to help nail the trend.

The clothes and accessories were all selected from shops within The Broadway, including River Island, Khaadi, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Accessorize, Next, SuperDry and New Look. In stores now, they point the way to an effortless, high fashion style for summer.

Whether teamed with other plain items or worn in clashing prints and colours, channelling hibiscus prints will assure a timeless chic look. Designers like Gucci, Carolina Herrera and Louis Vuitton pioneered the trend with models donning prints in shades of red, yellow and purple. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Priyanka Chopra and Jennifer Lopez have all been seen embracing hibiscus prints this year.

For those feeling a little less brave, stores including Accessorize, Marks & Spencer and River Island have accessories in all varieties of hibiscus, allowing for subtle wardrobe updates without diving into the trend head first.

Ever since opening in 2015, The Broadway Bradford has been a key fashion destination in Bradford, welcoming various retailers this year, including River Island Kids.

Ian Ward, General Manager at The Broadway, said: “2019 has been a really exciting year for The Broadway and Bradford so far. It’s been great for us to introduce new stores and concepts to the Centre and we have received positive feedback from our stylish shoppers in addition to strong sales. As well as a number of new retailers opening, the centre had one and a half million extra visitors last year, something we are extremely proud of.

“The city is attracting new business and investment, and we’re delighted that we can provide new and exciting stores for customers to enjoy as we continue to grow as a major fashion and leisure destination in the region.”
