A gala night held at Fairweather Green WMC raised £2,041 in aid of Bradford Cancer Support (BCS).
Linda Enderby, BCS fundraising co-ordinator, said: “We are extremely grateful to the event organiser Gill Ingham, all of the entertainers who gave their services for free as did the bar staff. Lots of people attended on the night and gave so generously to the raffle, tombola and auction.
“The money will be used to support the petrol costs of our transport service which is provided by volunteer drivers who take cancer patients to hospital appointments, for treatments and to access services at our premises on Smith Lane.”
The charity provides almost 3,000 return journeys each year. Donations towards the service can be sent to Bradford Cancer Support, Daisy House Farm, 44 Smith Lane, Bradford, BD9 6DA, or call (01274) 776688.
