A Bradford businesswoman is on the verge of clinching a share of a £50,000 prize after reaching the finals of a contest for people who have beaten the odds to succeed in business.

Inayah Sher will find out at the end of this month whether she has won the 2010 Barclays Trading Places Award when the results are revealed at the Savoy hotel in London.

Inayah started her skin care company Inayah’s Quest in 2007. Steve Cooper, chairman of the judging panel and managing director, Barclays Business, said: “The Barclays Trading Places Awards are a celebration of people who, in spite of great personal challenges, have taken steps to establish a sustainable business and in doing so, changed the direction of their lives for the better.”
