Bradford-based Approach PR has been shortlisted for a hat-trick of industry awards.

For the fifth consecutive year the consultancy, which this summer expanded to a team of six PR professionals, is in the running for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations annual PRide awards.

The event aims to celebrate the most talented agencies and outstanding campaigns in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Approach, based in Little Germany, has been shorlisted for Outstanding Small Consultancy, Best Use of Media Relations with its “Dales does Bollywood” campaign for Skipton’s Rendezvous Hotel, and Best Newsletter for its Delifrance UK staff journal.

Managing director and founder Suzanne Johns said: “Anyone who knows us will recognise that we take enormous pride in how hard we work and in the results we achieve for our international, national and regional clients.

“PR is an important part of any business strategy, particularly in this challenging climate, and we’re delighted that our campaigns, creativity and tangible results are one again being recognised by the very best in the public relations industry.

“This is the fifth year we have entered the CIPR PRide awards and to consistently bring the trophies home demonstrates to the region and the rest of the UK, that business longevity and PR expertise is very much alive and radiating from Bradford.”

Approach’s clients include German kitchen manufacturer Alno, French bakery manufacturers Delifrance UK, international furniture designers Halo, Halifax-based radiator manufacturer Heat Electric and Bradford’s Headway Recruitment.

The consultancy has won six regional PR awards including gold for Best Use of Media Relations, gold for Corporate and Business Communications and silver for its charity and not-for-profit campaign.

In January the team was announced winners of CIPR President’s Grand Prix Award for its execution of the Bradford-born Yorkshire Biz Awards.

CIPR president Jay O’Connor said: “The CIPR PRide Awards are a celebration of PR achievement and a showcase of campaigns implemented by the best of the best from across the UK. I offer my congratulations.”
