Two Yorkshire entrepreneurs who have merged their businesses have their eyes fixed on growth, including a Bradford office.
Bradford-based Communication Technologies has merged with Leeds-based Blue Logic Electrical Limited.
The merger is the latest phase in the rise of Blue Logic, which was established a year ago by Leeds electrician James Baird, following three years as a sole trader.
Inspired by his grandfather to pursue a career as an electrician, James set up his own business Earthed Solutions in 2006 which became part of the Blue Logic Group in 2008. The business achieved a £150,000 turnover in its first year and is targeting a £500,000 turnover for the merged company by the end of 2010.
The business, which James runs with new business partner Geno Kyriacou, employs eight people and plans to recruit more.
James said: “Things are certainly looking positive and we have new contracts in the pipeline worth around £300,000.
“In addition we are involved in assisting with the development of an innovative new product for the healthcare industry. Things are going so well we have plans to open a new office in Bradford in the New Year.”
