ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (MORTON PALMS TO LITTLE BURDON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in County Durham, to enable inspection and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place between 8pm on Thursday 25 June 2020 and 2am on Saturday 27 June 2020. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A66: (i) eastbound and westbound carriageway from Morton Palms Roundabout to Little Burdon Roundabout, a distance of 2488 metres; During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
