ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 THE M606 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 3 TO JUNCTION 1) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M606 Motorway, in the District of Wakefield, to enable cyclic maintenance, routine maintenance, surveys, bridge structure works carriageway repairs and reconstruction, roadmarking, stud replacement, white lining and electrical works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 22 June 2020 for 3 months ending on Monday 21 September 2020, and will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the M606:
(i) southbound carriageway from its junction with the A6177 Chase Way to the entry slip road at Junction 3 (Staygate), a distance of 900 metres;

(ii) southbound entry and northbound exit slip roads at Junction 3;

(iii) southbound exit and entry and northbound exit slip roads at Junction 2 (Euroway); and

(iv) northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at Junction 1 (Chain Bar (M606 Junction 1 and the M62 Junction 26).

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or winter maintenance purposes).
