ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 61 TO JUNCTION 63) (TEMpORARY pROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS Hereby GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in County Durham, to enable patching, resurfacing, road marking, stud renewal and gully replacement works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 3 February 2020 for 18 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A1(M):
that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in County Durham, to enable patching, resurfacing, road marking, stud renewal and gully replacement works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 3 February 2020 for 18 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A1(M):
(i) northbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Junction 61 (Bowburn Interchange) to the entry slip road at Junction 63 (Blind Lane Interchange), a distance of 17500 metres;

(ii) southbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Junction 63 to the entry slip road at Junction 61, a distance of 17800 metres;

(iii) northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at Junction 61;

(iv) northbound and southbound entry and exit slip roads at Junction 62 (Carrville Interchange); and

(v) northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at Junction 63.

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 2 February 2020 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
