SMITH Ian Peacefully in hospital on February 17, 2020, Ian aged 59 years. The much loved son on Kathleen and the late Walter and step son of Brian. A dear brother of William, Paul and Susan, nephew of Joyce and a dear cousin and good friend to many, who will be greatly missed. The funeral service will take place at Scholemoor Crematorium on Thursday March 12 at 12.40pm. Family flowers only please but donations for the British Heart Foundation would be appreciated and for which a plate will be available after the service. Will friends please accept this intimation and kindly meet at the crematorium. All enquiries to Bolton Road Funeral Service, tel 01274 640100.

Sorry to hear of your sad loss. I remember Ian as a small boy, when we lived at Bierley, Heath Hall Avenue, 1960s. Our Condolences to you and the family Kathleen. RIP Ian.

R.I.P Smith. Gonna miss ya. Not only was u my cousin but like a big brother 2 me 2. U looked out 4 all ur family members n made sure we were all ok when out on the lash. I remember that horrendous curry u 1nc made when i got home from a nite out when u stayed at mine. Tasted good at the time. U was a big part of my life growing up. N when i had my own place ud stay 4 abit 2 probably give Aunty Kathleen a break i guess. But u n paul were always at mine. Lifes not gonna b the same without u! Till we meet again cuz r.i.p now n look after my mum up there n the rest of the family. N no mischief with Uncle Walter. XXXXX 😢😢😢😢💔
