A SLIP road leading from a main route into Bradford is to be closed for ten hours while work on the water mains are carried out.

The northbound slip road from Dudley Hill to Wakefield Road will be closed overnight on Monday/Tuesday, from its junction with Rooley Lane, to its junction with Teasdale Street.

The order will come into effect at 8pm on Monday May 20 and remain until 6am on Tuesday May 21.

Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for vehicles will be via Sticker Lane, Laisterdyke, Leeds Road, Shipley Airedale Road, Wakefield Road (the unaffected section) and vice versa.

Gas works to be carried out near Robin Walk, Shipley, has necessitated the closure of Robin Walk from its junction with Hollin Lane to a point outside number 12 Robin Walk.

The closure remains in force until 6pm on Friday June 7, 2024.

No alternative routes for traffic are available, but pedestrian access will be maintained.

Also in Shipley, a length of footpath has been closed as it is thought to present a danger to the public.

Footpath number one (Shipley), Saltaire will be inaccessible from its junction with the Canal Towpath to its junction with St Ives Street while it is made safe.

Alternative routes for pedestrians are be available via Ives Street, Hird Street, Salts Mill Road, Canal Towpath and vice versa.

This order came into effect at 8am on April 22 and remains in force until 6pm on October 21.

Traffic has been temporarily prevented from accessing a length of Victoria Road, Wibsey, while water works are carried out.

The closure is from the road’s junction with Wibsey Park Avenue to a point outside number 3 Victoria Road.

The closure will come into effect at 9.30am on Monday May 20 and remain until 3.30pm the same day. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Victoria Road (the unaffected section), Reevy Road, Wibsey Park Avenue and vice versa.

Bradford Council has received an application for a goods vehicle operator’s licence at a site in Bradford.

A Tomlinson trading as Manningham Concrete Ltd of Cemetery Road, Bradford BD8 9RY is applying for a licence to use the premises as an operating centre for five goods vehicles and to use Manningham Timber, Scotchman Road, Bradford BD9 5AT as an operating centre for two goods vehicles.

Owners or occupiers of land, including buildings, near the operating centre(s), who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds LS9 6NF, stating their reasons, by May 23.

Representors must at the same time send a copy to the applicant.
