A FAMILY favourite pumpkin trail is taking place at Bolton Abbey's Strid Wood until Sunday, November 5.
This year, families are embarking on solving the 'Captain’s Crossword' while navigating their way along the riverside trail.
Mystery clues can be discovered hidden among the giant pumpkins, bat wings, broomsticks, and even a pirate ship along the way.
Young adventurers can also enjoy completing the autumnal scavenger hunt, learning about seasonal changes while discovering the symbols of autumn that can be found on the Bolton Abbey Estate, including deer, conkers, and golden leaves.
The Pumpkin Trail begins at the Cavendish Shop and is fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, with well-behaved dogs on leads welcome.
It runs from 9am to 4pm, with the Riverside Car Park open until 5pm. Visitors are encouraged to pre-book a space at the car park. More details: at: https://boltonabbey.com/whats-on/pumpkin-trail/
