Four people were being questioned by police last night after cannabis was seized at a house during a raid.
Uniformed officers forced their way into a house in Wrose Road, Wrose, at 8.30am yesterday.
Police searched the premises and drug sniffer dogs were deployed at the scene where an amount of suspected drugs was discovered.
Sergeant Andrew Croasdale, of the Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said the four occupants of the house were held in the dining room as the searches were carried out.
He said: “The occupants were awoken and taken to the dining room where they were contained before the search itself began, and they remained there until, as it happened, we made the initial discovery of the cannabis.”
Three men, aged 46, 21 and 18, and a 50-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class C drugs.
Sgt Croasdale said officers found four bags of what was believed to be cannabis bush, two packages of what was believed to be cannabis resin and a large quantity of what was believed to be dealer bags.
Sgt Croasdale urged people to continue to support the police in their quest to clean up the streets.
He said: “As a result of this search, several packages of what we believe is cannabis have been seized.
“I would encourage the local community to continue their support in helping us clean up the streets.”
