Man seriously ill after Brighouse police shooting

A man is seriously ill after being shot by police.
It happened after firearm officers responded to a 999 call reporting a domestic incident at a house in Whinney Hill Park, Brighouse just after midnight.
A police gun was fired after a disturbance inside the house and the 44-year-old man was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with gunshot wounds.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has deployed investigators to the scene.
