The new divisional commander of Bradford South Police wasted no time in getting out and about in her new patch.
Detective Chief Superintendent Alison Rose has pledged that, under her leadership bobbies will spend more time on the beat and less sat at their desks doing paperwork.
She said: “I have given a commitment to put more bobbies on the beat, so this was very much about practising what I preach, looking round the city and seeing where the best place is to deploy my officers. I have been in the city centre this morning on patrol with one of my Police Community Support Officers. I think it’s very important that people coming into the city centre see a police presence.”
Det Chief Supt Rose is pictured on the street with Community Support Officer Bernard O’Connor, store detective Andrew Johnson, security officer David Wood and Community Support Officer Matthew Wright.
