John Tague, managing director of Seabrook Crisps, based in Duncombe Street, Bradford, spoke to pupils at Lidget Green Primary School.

Abacus Nursery, on Parish Ghyll Drive, Ilkley, has bought shirts for the Ilkley Colts team of 17-year-olds, which has recently been re-formed.
  • Homeless people are to benefit from forgetful customers at a dry cleaners in Saltaire. 

The Bradford Soup Run provides free hot meals, clothes and blankets to the homeless and has been boosted with a donation from County Cleaners, in Bingley Road.
  • Air cadets claim they are “hidden victims” in the collapse of a charity which they supported with cash.

  • Skipton-based Drama Plus has celebrated its 25th anniversary. 
The group was started by Roland and Wendy Coombs as The Speech and Drama Studio.
Weekly classes run in Skipton, Addingham and Long Preston, with a new class at Bradley School.
  • Celebrations were low key when heart transplant child Gabrysia Filarowski reached the six-month milestone.
Gabrysia had been doing well since her operation last year, but was struck down by a virus over Christmas and was still poorly on the anniversary.
  • Two young musicians are helping beat the shortage of church organists, and raising money for an Ilkley church. 
Anthony Gray, 13, and Henry Websdale, 12, are among recruits learning to play the instrument in a Bradford Organists Association scheme.
  • The bells could soon be ringing out again in Tong church.
Villager Louise Connacher, who instigated a fundraising campaign to restore the bells at St James’s following a 30-year silence, says they are now a quarter of a way to their target.
  • Danielle Skilbeck, 11, of Otley, who won a Children of Courage award in 2004 after contracting meningitis, is back from a Dreamflight charity holiday, where she fulfilled her ambition of swimming with dolphins in Orlando, Florida.
