  • Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Staff at the National Media Museum have been spotted litter-picking in Bradford city centre after getting a bit of inspiration from the original eco-warriors – The Wombles.
The museum is highlighting the adventures of The Wombles this week.
  • Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Marvin the millipede and Hiccup the giant snail were among creepy crawlies wowing children at Shipley Library.
The youngsters also had the chance to marvel at cockroaches, tarantulas and a snake at an animal handling workshop run by ZooLab.
  • Bradford Telegraph and Argus: A Bradford woman was celebrating her 100th birthday today surrounded by family and friends.
Emma Green, who lives at the Pollard House care home in Pollard Lane, also enjoyed a family party on Saturday.
She will be taking a trip to the Nidd Hall Hotel.
  • Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Actress Su Pollard, who will star in rags-to-riches musical Annie at the Alhambra Theatre, met these young actors who will join her in the production.
Nine young pupils at the Stage 84 performing arts school in Idle will play orphans in the show.
