England unsurprisingly named an unchanged team on Wednesday as they looked to go 2-0 up in the second one-day international against Pakistan at the Zayed Stadium.
Captain Alastair Cook confirmed the tourists would be sticking to their winning formula in this four-match series before he won the toss and chose to bat first.
Pakistan, by contrast, decided three changes were in order after their 130-run defeat here two days ago. Batsman Azhar Ali replaced Asad Shafiq in a like-for-like swap; Aizaz Cheema came in for his fellow seamer Wahab Riaz, and slow left-armer Abdur Rehman was chosen instead of off-spinning all-rounder Shoaib Malik.
England: Alastair Cook (c), Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Ravi Bopara, Eoin Morgan, Carig Kieswetter, Samit Patel, Stuart Broad, Graeme Swann, James Anderson, Steven Finn.
Pakistan: Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq (c), Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, Saeed Ajmal, Umar Gul, Abdur Rehman, Azhar Ali, Aizaz Cheema.
