RACE timings for the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire have been unveiled by Welcome to Yorkshire.

Millions of spectators will line the route for the three-day men’s race and one-day women’s race which run from April 28 to April 30.

The timings have been calculated by anticipating the peloton’s average speed but are subject to change depending on variables such as wind speed, direction and how aggressively the riders race.

Welcome to Yorkshire chief executive Sir Gary Verity said: “It’s always exciting to share these timings as supporters can now plan exactly where and when they want to watch the action. Every time I see them I’m astonished by how quickly the peloton travels, but these are the very best riders in the world after all.”

The 107.5-mile Stage One route on Friday, April 28, goes from Bridlington to Scarborough.

It will begin at 12:35pm outside Bridlington Spa and finish along Scarborough’s North Bay at 5pm.

Stage Two and the Asda Women’s Tour de Yorkshire will take place on Saturday, April 29, following a 76-mile route from Tadcaster to Harrogate.

The women's race gets under way on the newly reopened Tadcaster Bridge at 9:15am before finishing in Harrogate at 12.27pm. The men's race is due to start at 2.05pm and culminate with a finish in Harrogate at 4.56pm.

The 120.9-mile Stage Three on Sunday, April 30, starts in Bradford and finishes in Fox Valley, Sheffield.

This decisive stage, ominously titled The Yorkshire Terrier due to its punishing parcours, exits Bradford’s City Park at 12:10pm and travels through Saltaire, Shipley, Guiseley, Menston, Burley-in-Wharfedale and Ilkley on its way to a scenic trip through the Dales.

After coming out of Addingham at 12.55pm, the route follows the River Wharfe through Craven starting on the B6160 at Bolton Abbey (1.02pm) to Barden (1.09pm).

The route continues on the B6160 to Burnsall (1.15pm) and turns on to the B6265 towards Linton (1.22pm) following the road through Cracoe (1.27pm) and Rylstone (1.30pm).

After the crossing the A59 roundabout, the riders will enter Skipton on Grassington Road at approximately 1.38pm and then come down the High Street before leaving the town via Keighley Road and joining the A629 from Snaygill roundabout at 1.45pm.

The riders will then turn on to Main Street, Farnhill, at 1.49pm and follow the road through Kildwick (1.50pm) before taking Skipton Road to Silsden (1.53pm) for the first of eight climbs on the Côte de Silsden at 2.04pm.

The race continues through Riddlesden and Keighley before taking in climbs at Haworth (2.22pm) and Leeming (2.32pm).

The routes passes through Queensbury before entering Calderdale and travelling through Halifax and Brighouse and eventually finishing at Fox Valley in Sheffield at 5.15pm,
