It was great news for Bradford as the award winning historic Lister Park had been marked to represent Britain in a competition to find the best park in Europe. The bid followed news that the revamped Manningham site had been named Britain’s Best Park after undergoing a massive £4 million restoration which had turned it from an under-used facility in to a prize-winning community park. It had also picked up a prestigious Green Flag award for the fifth year running. Lister Park was certainly proving time and time again that it was one of the best parks in the country, with a lot to offer for a good day out.
