Sue Nordberg e-mails: I am looking for information about the Harvey family, who lived at The Reservoir Inn ( known as The Monkey ) in Horton Bank in the early 1900's, and in particular about Willie Harvey, born in 1868.
He was a Private in the West Yorks Reg and was killed on September 3, 1916, in The Battle of The Somme .
Researchers there are trying to commemorate these brave men whose names are on the Thiepval Memorial, but who have no known graves. They would especially welcome photographs.
Willie was the brother of my great-grandfather, Harry, who also fought in the war, along with many others in the family.
