It was only 25 years ago that Telegraph & Argus photographer Dennis Flatt took this aerial photograph of Bingley, but what a lot has changed in the meantime.
In 1983 there was, of course, no Bingley Relief Road slicing its way through the allotments parallel to the railway line.
The weekly car boot sale had yet to take over the market site.
The Damart building dominates the lower right of the picture. Many of the other mills were in a couple of decades to be converted to apartments.
In 1983, Bingley College, in the top left-hand of the photograph, was still a college rather than luxury flats and nursing homes surrounded by new housing developments.
And Gilstead had yet to experience the home-building boom that was to transform the area.
