25 years ago: People who refused to buy a dustbin and chose to dump their plastic sacks of rubbish on the pavement in inner-city areas of Bradford were set to be taken to court under a new anti-litter crackdown by the Council.
50 years ago: The branch line between Bradford and Cleckheaton was closed after a single locomotive crashed into the middle of a 30-wagon freight train outside the Low Moor signal box near Oakenshaw Park, forcing passengers to travel via bus.
