25 years ago: Police were investigating a night of destruction on the Lower Grange estate in Bradford, which had been earmarked for a £34million redevelopment scheme, with reports of gangs of youths setting fire to houses, attacking people, and vandalising properties, causing one resident to label it a "living hell."
50 years ago: Forensic experts were called in to investigate a mystery fire which caused £20,000 worth of damage at GE Ramsey Ltd timber merchants in Shipley, the third blaze to hit the firm in just six months.
