25 years ago: Two children were recovering from the potentially-deadly typhoid disease with the pair, a Keighley baby and a young Bradford child, being nursed in isolation at the specialist infectious diseases unit at the hospital in Leeds Road.
50 years ago: The worst blizzard of the winter caused chaotic traffic conditions in Bradford, leaving Manchester Road jammed from end to end, Forster Square blocked, and lines of lorries stuck on snow and ice on Bridge Street and Vicar Lane.
