25 years ago: Bradford Council's Highways Department announced it was to pledge £60,000 to implement a series of safety upgrades to help cut the death toll on Leeds Road, after three people were killed in incidents on the route in the previous year.
50 years ago: Officials from the National Union of Dyers, Bleachers, and Textile Workers revealed more than £80,000 had now been paid out in benefits to the 114 staff involved in the ongoing, 15-month strike action at Wm Denby and Sons Ltd in Baildon.
