Simon Grayson has been appointed the new manager of Leeds.
The 39-year-old has left Blackpool for Elland Road to replace Gary McAllister, who was sacked on Sunday after 11 months at the helm.
Grayson, who lives near Skipton, is a lifelong Leeds fan and began his 17-year playing career with the club, making two senior appearances.
He also had a brief spell on loan with Bradford City under Nicky Law.
Grayson took charge of Blackpool in 2006 and steered them to promotion through the League One play-offs.
Grayson's first game in charge will be at home to League One leaders Leicester, another of his former clubs, on Boxing Day.

Get a grip folks, when was the last time we were anywhere near this spot in the league at xmas? I do think we need some bolstering, but individual mistakes on the pitch are not down to coaching.
Enough is enough Simon. Stop reporting on Beeston Utd and get some incisive reporting on why Bradfords No2 and coach cannot instill good defending into their signings, the midfield are not creating and out strikers cannot strike ! This team will end up outside the top 10 (worse than last year) if we don't get fresh coaching and players

whther it should or should not appear in a Bradford paper is an irrelevancy:the fact is that Grayson was a rookie manager who decided to get experience alongside him in the form of Tony Parkes-- after a slow start teh team started to rise and is now a respectable championship team. I would expect SCUM to start to progress later this season. so does the fact that he was a rookie who took on experience tell us anything---?

Any fans (I say that term loosley!) who live in Bradford and support Beeston Utd (The countrys most failing club!) would buy the so called "yorkshire" evening post not the T&a! So why is this story darkening this sites door Parker? I say "Yorkshire" as there is more to yorkshire than Bl**dy Leeds! Trading standards take note as this is not an accurate description of what the newspapers name represents! It should be called the L**ds evening post! The sports section is only worth using when one runs out of toilet roll!

Santa's coming tonight and all I have asked him for is promotion for City and our nearest and dearest rivals to stay in League 1 for another season. I have been a good boy (despite what some on here believe), so I am optimistic I will get my wish. Seasons greetings to all (AND I DO MEAN ALL!!). Merry Christmas everyone :) No booze has been consumed whilst typing this message LOL
