Top seed Katie O'Brien, a former pupil at Woodhouse Grove School, was beaten 6-1, 6-2 by second seed Sofia Arvidsson (Sweden) today in the final of the $25,000 Challenger tournament at Scotstoun Leisure Centre in Glasgow.
In the doubles semi-finals, fourth seeds O'Brien and Georgie Stoop (Great Britain) lost 6-4, 6-2 to second seeds Veronika Chvojkova (Czech Republic) and Kathrin Woerle (Germany).
