The first of Bingley Swimming Club's Schools' Gala semi-finals have been held at Shipley Pool.
Qualifying for the final on Friday, February 1 (6.30pm) are Crossflatts Primary, Eldwick Primary, Hothfield Junior, Cullingworth Primary, Oakworth Primary and Lees Primary.
Nine schools took part. Medals and pennants were presented by Anne Cryer MP, Ben Pollard (Bradford Council's Swimming Development Officer) and Arthur and Mary Pitchforth, the club's president and his wife, who have been life-long supporters of the club.
The second semi-final, which involves a further 11 schools, is this Saturday and the top six will qualify for the finals, along with five secondary schools (Bingley Grammar, Holy Family Catholic School, Oakbank, Parkside and Thornton Grammar).
