NOT for the first time, HIGHLAND REEL appears to have been underestimated as he prepares to defend his crown in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.

While the five-year-old perhaps lacks the X-factor of some of the Ballydoyle superstars that have gone before him, the son of Galileo has no less than six top-level victories on his CV.

He won the King George and the Breeders' Cup Turf in 2016 but has arguably looked better than ever this season.

Travel problems meant he did not arrive at Epsom for the Coronation Cup until late in the day but he still saw off his opponents with a degree of ease.

He then reverted to a mile and a quarter in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot and was ultimately well on top at the line, with the reopposing Ulysses – the subsequent winner of the Coral-Eclipse – back in third.

Ground conditions might not be ideal in Berkshire this weekend and giving a stone to a filly of dual Oaks heroine Enable's calibre is no easy task.

Yet the weight-for-age and sex allowances are there for a reason and she returns to action just a fortnight after her awesome display at the Curragh, so has plenty on her plate too.

While Enable is approaching even-money with some bookmakers, Highland Reel has been drifting out all week and has now become a backable price, with Ryan Moore taking the reins on today's nap selection.

DANCE DIVA is fancied to extend her unbeaten record in the opening Princess Margaret Juddmonte Stakes.

Richard Fahey's filly has come a long way since her narrow debut success at Redcar in late May, impressing in a novice heat at Haydock before claiming Listed honours in Newmarket's Empress Stakes.

The form of her latest triumph looks sound enough with the runner-up, Dance Diva's stablemate Maggies Angel, finishing a creditable third in last Saturday's Super Sprint at Newbury.

Dance Diva has a little more on her plate in this Group Three, with Nyaleti a formidable rival, but she can prove up to the task under Paul Hanagan.

FAWAAREQ is the tentative choice in the fiercely competitive Gigaset International Stakes with Jim Crowley on board.

The Owen Burrows-trained four-year-old completed a hat-trick at Newmarket last July but was not seen in competitive action again until returning at Haydock in April.

He finished a creditable third that day and backed it up with another placed effort in the Silver Bunbury Cup.

Fawaareq competes off the same mark a fortnight later and, with the ease in the ground perhaps a help, he should be there or thereabouts at the business end granted some luck in running.

SUCCESS DAYS will not be winning out of turn if landing the Sky Bet York Stakes for Irish trainer Ken Condon.

The five-year-old has been a model of consistency on the whole, with the only serious blips coming in the 2015 Epsom Derby when he suffered injury, in Germany on his comeback later that year and in last season's Irish Champion Stakes.

At his best he pushed Arc heroine Found close and has beaten Group One winner Fascinating Rock.

So far this season he has run well twice in defeat and as long conditions on the Knavesmire do not dry out too much, he can get back on the winning trail with Shane Foley in the saddle.

ROUSSEL, runner-up in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and subsequently the Dragon Stakes at Sandown, can get back in the winner's circle at Newmarket.

The Godolphin-owned youngster has his sights lowered significantly for the Adnams Mosaic EBF Stallions Conditions Stakes and it will be disappointing if he cannot make the most of the opportunity.
