BINGLEY Bees, safely ensconced in mid-table, fielded a very strong team at home to Hull University in Yorkshire Women's Division Two in a bid to reverse their 6-1 defeat from earlier in the season.
With the club' s Mini Bees out in force as cheerleaders on a scorching afternoon at Bradford Grammar School, the hosts, whose defence was on top form, made a solid start, holding the third-placed club to 0-0 at half-time.
Bingley upped the pressure and had most of the possession in but a highly-disputed goal for Hull settled matters.
Player of the match was defender Claire Staniland but the setback can't take the shine off a great second half of the season, during which Bingley Bees climbed six places.
