BINGLEY Bees were bidding to make it four straight wins in Yorkshire Women's Division Two as they faced Colne Valley, who were immediately below them in the table, at Bradford Grammar School.
The teams had drawn 2-2 earlier in the season but the Bees went ahead in the first half this time, Mel Burgess netting from a well-worked short corner.
However, the Bees had not really capitalised on their possession and needed a stern half-time team talk, before adding an early second goal by Rachael Holdsworth.
Only three games remain for the seventh-placed Bees but they can already start planning for next season in the same division.
