P&B win Yorkshire Vets' Grand Prix title

Pudsey & Bramley held off Horsforth, Pudsey Pacers and Holmfirth to claim victory in the final race of the Yorkshire Vets' Grand Prix season at Spenborough.

A dominant performance in the tenth race created some distance from their three season-long pursuers. P&B had five of the top eight finishers in a bumper turnout of 200 runners.

Richard Pattinson (1st, M40 age category) in 34min 19sec, Paul Stevenson (2nd, M45) in 34min 25sec, Jon Holah (5th, M45) in 35min 35sec, and Stephen Bottomley (6th, M40) in 36min 0sec were the four counters. Brian Stevenson (8th, M45) in 36min 37sec was able back-up.
