Social Get-Together on Sunday, April 19 at the King’s Head
8:24am Tuesday 24th March 2009 in Sport By Simon Forde
It looks likely that this year Bradford-Airedale might have a few more members competing in the T&F league, from both Bradford-Airedale and from the Airedale Athletics Partnership clubs (Eccleshill Road Runners, St Bede’s and Skyrac).
In order to meet and get to know each other before the season starts the club is holding an informal gathering where we can have a drink and a natter on Sunday afternoon, April 19. We will be meeting at the Kings Head at the top of Cemetery Road, just above Horsfall.
There isn't a set time, we suggest that if you want to drop in anytime between 2pm and 4pm there will be club members around. If you want to stay all afternoon then all the better. It isn't a social event as such, it's just a chance to meet other club members over a quiet drink.
The club hopes as many people as possible can nip down and say hello. It isn't just for T&F team members, it is also open to wives, husbands, partners, friends, neighbours, relatives or anyone.
T&F is quite a good spectator sport for those who are sport-inclined and it would be good to take a few more supporters to matches, and the team always need people to help as officials (raking sand pits, catching javelins, heading the shot etc.), so the more the merrier.
