STARTING times have been announced for Skipton Craven Bowling Club's one-day competition on Sunday, March 18 (10am start).

Total prize-money is £320, with £100 going to the winner, £60 to the runner-up, £40 to the losing semi-finalists and £20 to the losing quarter-finalists.

No home bowlers have been allowed in the 21-up event, with numbers to be drawn for each group of eight on arrival.

* THE West Riding Cup draw will follow Monday night's annual meeting at the Harold Club at about 8.45pm.

Entry costs £15 per team, payable on the night, and the qualifying round is scheduled for Friday, April 6.

* HOVE Edge Bowling Club are holding an open competition on Easter Monday (April 2), with a 10am start.

The entry fee is £5, with all being paid out in prize-money, and no home bowlers are allowed. To enter, call Steve Rothwell on 07757-074577.

* FINALS day of the 2Plan Wealth Management Pudsey Classic will be on Saturday, August 18, featuring the last 16 (4.30pm).

Entrants, of which there will be 128, need to win two rounds to be guaranteed £75. Qualifying rounds are on either Fridays or Saturdays (July 13-14, 20-21, 27, August 3-4 and 11), with practice from 6pm to start at 6.30pm.

The winner will pocket £1,000 and gain a place in the Victor Ludorum Invitational Merit Champion of Champions' event,.

The runner-up gets £600, the losing semi-finalists £400, the losing quarter-finalists £200, those losing in the last 16 £125 and those losing in the last 32 £75.

* THIS year's Spen Masters will be run over one day on Saturday, September 1 (10am), featuring 64 bowlers.

Both greens will be used up to the quarter-finals, before the semi-finals and final use the top green. Entry costs £25 and prize-money will be £2,500, subject to entries.

The winner could take home £800, the runner-up £400, losing semi-finalists £200, losing quarter-finalists £100 and those who lose in the last 16 £50. The highest break winner will also receive £100.

No home bowlers will be allowed and the first 64 entries received will be accepted.
