THE Spen Valley Pairs and Merit finals take place at Spen Victoria on Sunday.

Mark Allman (Littlemoor), Gary Foulkes (Ossett Flying Horse) and Tom Lawrence (Pudsey) have made the finals of both.

* SHARON Gadd and David Upton (Myrtle Park) were deserved winners of the Wilkie Smith Leading Lady Pairs, defeating Tracy Preston (Shipley Club) and Joey Broadbent (Tarnfield) 21-11 in the final.

A total of 19 pairs took part in the competition, which had not been played since 2011.

* THE finals of the Yorkshire Parks Brotherton and Wood Cup take place in the Heavy Woollen district on Sunday. Matches get underway at 10am, with both finals at Heckmondwike at about 3pm.

Brotherton Cup draw – Quarter-finals (10am): Eccleshill v Pudsey at Hightown, Guiseley A v Spen Victoria A at Thornhill, Asa Briggs A v Brighouse Sports A at Slazengers, Rufford Park v Clayton A at Staincliffe. * THE weather wreaked havoc with fixtures last Wednesday, with many games being called off across all afternoon and evening leagues.

Clubs are reminded that Bradford League fixture secretary John Preston must be notified of all postponed games, along with an agreed rearranged date (as per competition rule 22 in the Association handbook).
